LEBANON JUNCTION
HIGH SCHOOL

In 1902 Mack Masden donated a new site located on what is now Masden Street.  A new two
story building was constructed on the site and served as the center of education until 1930.

In 1930 a modern two story brick building with a basement was constructed on the hill
located on highway 61. This building would serve as elementary, middle and high school
until 1964.

In 1964 a new elementary school was built on the north end of town on highway 61. The
elementary school contained grades 1 through 5 and is still in operation today.

Lebanon Junction High School was open to serve the community until 1970 when the high
school was closed. The county was consolidated into one school, Bullitt Central which was
located in Shepherdsville Kentucky.
